Le Délice was founded by Saqib Mir to bring the French pâtisserie tradition to Srinagar — classical viennoiserie, laminated croissants, and patient cheesecakes, shaped by hand on the shores of Dal Lake. We opened in 2014 and have been honoured since by France 2, by writers and travellers, and most dearly by the people of the valley.
Bread is the centre of everything we do. Our sourdough is raised on a long, slow levain; our croissants are folded with French butter; our walnuts and pistachios are Kashmiri. Nothing is rushed. The result is a small bakery that feels equally at home in Paris and in Downtown Srinagar.
